Charming business hotel

Since it opened 12 years ago, the popularity of the Allgaeuhotel Memmingen Nord has continued unabated. The mixture of a personal atmosphere, carefully coordinated services and a quiet location close to the motorway makes it particularly attractive for business travellers. But also for families who make a stopover on weekend days.

The reason why the Allgaeuhotel meets such different needs is not least due to the attentive management by Iris Richter-Maurer and her husband Werner Maurer. The former career changers consistently gear their offer to the wishes of the guests: “When planning, we initially started from our own expectations of a business hotel, coupled with the advice of experts. But the most important thing for us was and is the feedback from our guests,” explains Iris Richter-Maurer.

A hotelomat for uncomplicated check-in using an EC/Visa card even at two in the morning, the rich breakfast buffet, meeting rooms also for workshops or the wellness area with sauna and steam bath have been part of the concept since it opened. However, the hotel team is constantly working on the small things and the big picture, e.g. the composition of the buffet, the offer at the bar, the catering or the technical equipment for seminars and business meetings. Four years ago, the wellness area was expanded to include a large relaxation room including a terrace, and the hotel was expanded by a further eight rooms.

In addition to an apartment with an eat-in kitchen and a large bathroom, a one-room apartment with a single kitchen, and 2 family rooms, hotel guests now have 35 modern rooms on four floors at their disposal. “The inquiries have steadily increased. Of course, we are particularly pleased about the growing number of our regular guests who visit us again and again. And the encouragement from the surrounding area: companies book our meeting rooms and even private individuals come by regularly to sweeten the start of the day with our breakfast buffet.”

We are purely a business hotel, but open to everything new," says Iris Richter-Maurer, who, with her husband Werner Maurer, dared to take the step from respectable jobs to a completely new future a few years ago. »The management of our hotel gives us so much pleasure and we would like to make it available to external people as well«. This has already got around as an insider tip for some Memmingen residents who, like the hotel guests, enjoy the varied and delicious breakfast buffet in the light-flooded, modern breakfast room with winter garden and view of the beautifully landscaped garden. The wellness area with sauna, steam bath and relaxation room, which is free for overnight guests, can also be booked externally on request. "In the future we would also like to bring wine tastings, readings and exhibitions to the hotel," says the hotel manager, whose contagious joie de vivre is passed on to all customers
